i.purpurea(milky way x pink rambler) x i. nil grow out

Norfolk, VA

here is a picture of my must be i.nil(early call blue) x i.purpurea(milky way x pink rambler) grow out. I have it inside under artificial light and I'm observing different leaf forms.

This one has a wider, round blade than the ordinary leaf of i.nil.

I'll keep my fingers crossed, I might be the next big breeder behind Dr. Yoneda!

Wooohoo, our own Dr. on the MG Forum. Are you growing in a greenhouse or are these from this past summer?

I'm growing them in my room under artificial lights.

Here's the same leaf but 100% open and the lobes are more visible and oops!, it has five lobes instead of four.

Be sure to post photos when it blooms. currently I only have species type Ipomoea growing/or dormant inside. Occasionally I get a couple of very small flowers but for most part they all quit, they are not under lights though, just next to a sunny window. All the nils for 2007 are goners. there is a name for the leaf you are showing on Dr. Yoneda's site too.

Are those two seed types the only ones you have crossed, and is there any possibility that you grew anything different near them last year? I was just wondering if you grew more than those two and the seeds could have gotten mixed up? or they are what you crossed personally. I think I remember your post from last year and will look it up again for comparison.

A.
