Help! I have some seed of fern-leaf peony (paeonia tenuifolia) that a friend brought back from Georgia (former USSR). I have tried to germinate them a number of times, but nothing happens. I've tried scarifying, and even freezing. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

The seeds may be sterile. I did a little looking around, and found that the plants were propagated by divisions where I checked. A couple of references to sterile seeds were made. I'm not an expert on these plants though, so someone else may have better info. I just hated to see your question go unanswered.
