What is your "escape goat"?

Mableton, GA(Zone 7a)

WaterCan2, how do you make that cute smiley face?

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

Love that dressage! That horse dances better than me!

OMG, I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner!

This is my *other* Escapegoat, LOL: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4017068

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

what a GREAT picture - i love it!!!!

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

here is an old pic of me from sometime in the mid/late 90s with the opposite of "escape goats". (Attack goats?)
i always loved this pic, and then it got all messed up with paper stuck to it. i'm so grateful for digital photography!

Cute photo, Amy. Was that goat hurting you? You are quite stoic, if so! LOL

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Wrightie and Amy, you both get gold stars for bringing the real goats into the thread. Here's a cute fake one.

That is the most adorable goat on the planet... and a Harlequin to boot!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Wrightie, not sure which pic you're referring to, but if it's mine, it's not a goat. It's a sheep!

Metro DC, MD(Zone 7a)

sorry, venu, I was trying to stick with the 'theme' -- I love that sheep!

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Oh no, quite alright. Everyone assumes they're goats because of the horns. That's why I called him a "fake" They are cute though, aren't they?

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

very cute!
i've always thought that if i had enough land, i'd have a few sheep...

no, i wasn't hurt! the goats kind of knocked me down - one was trying to eat my purse strap, the other was chewing on my skirt! (This was in the children's zoo at the STL zoo.)

The Monadnock Region, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm with Thom.

Win the Lottery ...
Buy my own place close to my children ...
Lots of land ...
Tons of hired help ...

Oh yeah!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

The hired help part is sounding especially appealing! I'd like a cook and a cleaner person and a personal assistant and 3 massage therapists in case the others get tired. That way, I can just do all the gardening and then get massages for my aching back! I think I'd be pretty benevolent to the staff.......

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

You'd like to think so! I like the rotating staff of massage therapists. xx, Carrie

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Yes. That would be a must. Otherwise, I'd wear them out! I've always thought if I were wealthy, a full-time massage therapist would be a must! Oh, and I'd make sure the staff were provided with lovely living spaces. That way, I'd get to design and decorate each one.....for fun.

belleville, NJ(Zone 6a)

am i the only person who is so neurotic that i can't imagine getting a massage..? i don't think it would be relaxing - i don't want to get undressed and have some stranger rubbing me all over. (o, go ahead, triple entendres!)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh yeah baby!!! I have gotten great massages from my pt, but had to keep most of my clothes on. It's relaxing if it's done right and you let yourself relax.

Metro DC, MD(Zone 7a)

I try to get a massage at least a couple times/month - love it, need it, can't get enough.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Amy - you owe it to yourself to see how wonderfully relaxing it is. You are covered by a sheet, and good therapists are very professional and strong! However, I wouldn't have a massage from a male therapist. The ones I go to are on the staff of my chiropractor, and they make it very comfortable. They are also very skilled and can immediately find the place that hurts without my saying a word. The massages I get are just back, neck and shoulders. I think the rain massage sounds interesting.....they are done with warm water falling on you the whole time. My therapists use hot stones that just melt the muscles.....really feels wonderful! Thanks to my son's generosity at Christmas, I can still look forward to a few this summer.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I am one of the few people who don't like massages. Guess I can't let go of control that long. Hey, it means more for y'all!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I wouldn't have one from a male either.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Do you have a choice there in Sing-Sing?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Visitation days.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Can we visit? I could bring you a nice hacksaw hidden in a hosta.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe as a stake for a dahlia?

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Too obvious!

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Kayte, I used to dream about flying too! Wish I could have those dreams again it was so cool! lol

amethystsm, My son's father and I took our son to Nashville in Tn. to one of those feeding zoos and when my son and I went in we got attacked, they were wanting to be fed but my son almost got trampled he was only four at the time lol There were no more feeding zoos for us after that lol

My escape goat would be to have a huge sunroom/glass house filled with tropical plants, one huge fountain in the middle with lots of boulders around it, butterflies all around and snakes and lizards running around, I know it sounds bizarre to you probably but I could live in a place like that lol

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

LeBug........would the snakes be poisonous? Eeeeek!

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Oh no! No poisonous ones, I just like the way they slither and they are so smooth to the touch! lol I like to see their muscles move when the crawl too lol Snakes are soo cool. Of course the snakes wouldn't eat the lizards in my scape goat! I'm weird I've always like them :)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Well , LeBug, you would probably be ashamed of me for putting red lava rocks around my patio to keep your favorite critters at bay. They're just too big here and aggressive.....I need an escape goat to get away from them! LOL

Thumbnail by DonnieBrook
Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Do you think that would keep them away? I would think they would bask in the sun on them lol Look Out!!! lol

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Last year they did bask in the sun on the little pebbles you see in the photo, but the red lava rocks around the house on the other side of the patio are really sharp and they apparently don't like to cut their tummies crawling over them. This little baby (in the previous post photo) showed up on Thanksgiving Day, but he turned his nose up at the lava rocks, and so far (knocking wood here) they have cut me a break and seem to be avoiding the lava rocks.

About massages, I love them but have trouble finding someone who does it as hard as I like it.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That was my complaint when my wife brought her friend, who was starting her own business, to give us free massages. I did nothing for me - way too soft. My PT, on the other hand, has very strong hands and really gets into the muscles.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

I like deep tissue massages that are definitely not soft! I don't feel like I get my money's worth if they are too soft! LOL A good massage therapist has to be in very good condition with very strong arms.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Actually they don't use their arms that much. They couldn't - they would tire way too quickly. They use their body as leverage. And they concentrate the force with their thumbs.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That sounds right, Victor! Whatever they use, I put them to the test!! LOL

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

DH knows the pressure I like, he just doesn't know what he's doing.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Ouch, Deb!
