need to know about oleander seed

Gilmer, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi, I want to grow an oleander bush and I'm not sure what the seeds look like.
I got what I think are seeds from my daughter in laws plant. They are long black things and when they dried out and opened, it looked like feathers inside. Are those the seeds?

Here's are a couple pics of seed pods splitting open--the seeds are attached to the fuzzy/feathery stuff.

Thank you so much!! That's what I have, but I'm not too bright, so I decided to winter sow it, so I put the whole thing in the pot when it popped open. Oh well, maybe I'll have lots of them. Either that or they'll crowd each other out and I won't have any. I have looked and looked for pictures of the seeds. Please tell me how you get to seed pictures

I just went to the Plant Files entry for oleander and looked through all the pics that had been posted to see if anyone had posted pics of seeds or not. Since PF depends on us to post pictures, some plants are going to have pics of the seeds and some aren't. If it's a plant that has a number of different cultivars, I'll typically look at the entry for the straight species, in my experience that's usually the entry most likely to have seed pics posted. If PF doesn't have a pic, then my next step would typically be to go to Google image search and search for "plant name seed" and that'll usually bring up some pics.

As I recall, from about 40 or 50 yrs ago, oleander is very easy to root. Just be sure not to get the sap on your skin. I lived in Ft Lauderdale then and would cut hybrid hybiscus and pretty oleander sprigs to root as I walked home from school. My mom had warned me about oleander sap so I was careful.
