That is a most excellent price !

Can't think of anything that might be wrong with them, unless they are coming from a lily beetle infested area. May want to take precautions then.

Even better than I would have guessed ! But of course that doesn't address any lily beetle possibilities. Those are such nice bulbs that, if were me, and there is a possibility of lily beetles, I would treat them anyway.

I will soak them but there from Kentucky I have not heard of the lily beetle being in the midwest.

Wow, those do look like dog bones. :) Congratulations. Somehow, I've never thought of Kentucky as being in the mid-west.. :) LOL

I know I'm showing my ignorance, but why are those lily bulbs shaped like dog bones? I've never seen them that way. Only regular round ones.

Thanks

There different types of lilies ~ concentric, stoloniferous and rhizomatous. Their means of reproduction is by sending a stolon out laterally and forming a bulb. Further reading can be found here ~ http://www.manitobalilies.ca/Articles/Novice/Lilium%20Bulbs.htm

Edited because it was late and I was stupid...
Edited AGAIN after I borrowed a brain...
