I have ID'd my Metallic Green Bee through Bug Guide and when I tried adding it, it said it doesn't recognize the Order or Family.
Here is what I was wanting to add.
Order: Hymenoptera
Family: Halictidae
Genus: Agapostemon
Species: texanus

This is what it says when I try to add this bee: "The order (" Hymenoptera") and family ("Halictidae") are not familiar to us. Before you can add this bug, you'll need to post the details to the BugFiles How-to's forum."
Now I am confused about this because I know that the Order Hymenoptera is already in the database, and the Family Halictidae is there too. So why is it saying this and not letting me do this? I have checked the spelling and it seems to be right.

Thanks so much! I tried adding it at least 4 times and it just kept saying it didn't recognize them.
One thing that has happened to me ( besides spelling errors) is cutting and pasting a hard name in the blanks, but including a space before the name - it will throw it off, the same as in plant files.
