Hi Terri, Thanks for the cakes and juice they were delicous. Violet is my friend's daughter. They're staying the weekend. We wowed over your beautiful cake. WOW! Violet was so happy with what you said. She says,"thank you."
We're making a pomador right now.

Hi Star, Thanks from me and Violet! The florists dye flowers using somerthing called floral absorption dye. The food coloring makes a very spotty flower. I hope your carnations grow too. How great would that be?!

Hi everyone!

london England, United Kingdom

Hi Star,
Are you going to the flower show this year? All those flowers must have cost a fortune!

Hi Adele,
Glad you enjoyed the cakes! Have you tried putting a red carnation in blue dye to see if it goes purple? or a yellow flower into red dye to make an orange one?

Tea anyone?

Terri,No, I've never done that but now I will. Here's our pomador. Violet and her mom, Susan, did most of it. It's not done. We are just too tired to finish it.

That is gorgeous! lovely rich colours you have chosen. The shape is coming along nicely. How long has it taken you to do so far? Everyday you suprise me Adele! Thankyou.

Thanks Terri! It's a 5 inch ball and so far it took about an hour and a half. Susan and Violet did most of it, especially the part that you are seeing. I like it too.

Sounds like you all need a rest!

Coffs Harbour, Australia

hello all. I have been very busy with the new shade house and keeping up with the lawn mowing while the sun is shining. We are supposedly in for a wet January.
Hi Adele. The Frangipani flower is about 6-7cm accross and are very fragrant. They also look lovely floating in a bowl or in the pool with floating candles. I might put some in a bowl tomorrow to show you. The tree gets quite large. I've seen one with a trunk about 25-30cm in diameter and is a broad domed shape. It loses its leaves in winter and is not very attractive then, but has huge dark green leaves through spring, summer and into Autumn.
I love your arrangements girls! I'll definitely have to find more time to make something for you all at the cafe.
Thanks for the cake TC.
mmmmm yummy!
Here is my shade house pre-construction

Hi Sue,
I looks like your shade house is coming on well. It must be hard working in the heat!
Frangipani floating in a bowl sounds lovely. Glad you enjoyed the cake, thanks!

Hey everyone,
I'm back for the week. I will start looking at the course today and figure out a way to do this.

Adele, LOVE the idea with the flowers and it would be something great for Teensy & I to do. Your pomador, enthusiasm and natural talent are amazing. Did you take any classes?

Terri, the cakes are adorable. You will never cease to amaze me. Rosie Gourd rocks!! The pot et fleurs, what are the live plants in the second one? I have daffs I can use in the first one and I hope to try something this week.

Weed, what is the purpose of a shade house? Sorry, I still haven't figured out a cold frame. lol.

Violet, fantastic job on the arrangement. Keep up the great work and you will be a master florist on day!!

More later guys

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7a)

Hi Everyone!
Thank you Karma and Terri!
I don't think I will ever finish that pomander.
Beautiful pot et fleus. So in a pot et fleus you have a combination of potted plants and cut flowers/foliage?

Snap to Pupil
Thanks Pupil.
