I am quite new to your site, and think it is awesome. The one thing I wish you could do is break the 'have' list into 'have to trade' and 'have to keep'. That way, it would be easier to find out who has what for trading.
Also, how do I initiate trades?

Gracias amigo!

I agree with you. davesgarden started as a way for me to maintain my own lists. When people saw my lists, they started asking me if I can make it so they can maintain their lists, too.

So, I left it the way it was - all entries in the have-list show up in your external have-list.

I think it might be time to change this. I think that we should make it so that items marked as "Spoken for", "Unavailable", and "Want to keep for myself" simply do not show up in your external have-list.

Additionally, items where the number of packets is 0 wouldn't show up either.

They will continue, of course, to show up in your edit lists pages for your own reference.

What does everyone think? Please give me feedback - I'm not sure which way everyone wants to go on this.

Yes is my vote~

I think this would help those looking for seeds greatly.

I think so too.

The votes are in. I'll make the change during my next programming session.

Okay, it's done. You'll notice that everybody's seedlist count dramatically dropped tonight. That's because you are now only seeing the seeds that they actually have marked as available.

Happy Gardening and Happy Trading!!!!

I think it's a big improvement. Thanks!

Thanks Dave - I like the personal/public aspect this change affords! I can manage my seed/plant collection and when I have something to trade I can pop it up on the list for everyone to see.

The site has really become a valuable tool for me. Next year it will pay off tenfold as I grow many of the seeds I have received in trade and aquire others.

I began using this list as the basis to inventory my unplanted seeds and to determine which of those I might trade. I have since expanded to include a catalougue of the plants I have in my existing garden.

I appreciate all of your efforts, and once again, THANKS!
