Trade Offer for Seed Starting Needs

Brown City, MI(Zone 5a)

Hello Everyone,

If anyone has any styrofoam cells for the 40 count or 60 Parks Bio Dome Seed Starter sponges, I would trade Daylilies or Daylily Seedlings for them.

I'd want the cells now with a promise of what ever we settled on to be sent in the spring. Or I could even offer Daylily seeds in exchange and could send those now.

By chance, I ended up with lots of extra sponges, but need more cells to use them in. Perhaps someone here has purchased them in the past, but doesn't use them anymore.

Here's a link to what I'm looking for ... I don't need more sponges, just the styrofoam trays. I can use both the 40 count and the 60 count ones.

Thanks for looking ... email me privately, or post here.

This is my 4th year using them.

do you us them only for seeds? Can they be use for cuttings with the soil plugs?
Interesting! I do have Park catalog.

I only use them for seeds, but am sure they would work for cuttings too.

I don't know the dimensions of soil plugs, but if they would fit into the openings, I don't see why they wouldn't work. Now, you may just be talking about filling the openings with soil ..... that too would probably work, but other seed trays would be less expensive for that method.

yep, I agree. Just might be what I need for all my seed sowing. I'm sill thinking on ordering me a few.

Donna,

If you want the 60 count .......... tray dome and all, they are offering them at Park's Dollar Site for about $13 each, and free shipping if your order totals $20 or more. Pretty good deal.

I use the 40 count for Daylilies, but I'm trying a few of the 60 count this year too.

Hi Miss Janet :)

Here is what I'm starting this early, of course you are in a warmer zone than I am.

LANTANA
VELVET KNIGHT
LIANTHUS
Hosta
Succulent’s
Geraniums
begonas

Oh, that is good to know. I am afraid I will start things too early and they will not make it..lol I thought about some nastursum and maybe sweet peas, since they like the colder weather too...just thinking out loud...I will certainly do some pansies to put on the porches, they will do well early too...and petunias.

Greenville, IN(Zone 6a)

Myself I wouldn't want to do petunias this early I don't think I could put up with the smell that long lol But I might put the pansies on the early list, that might be a good thing! Mine are always so small when I put them out in the spring. I just think I don't understand pansies and violets and to plant them earlier might be good.
