Is there a difference? I have seen some people interchange the names...

Northern Carillon was hybridized by Collicut. Silk Road is a Judith Freeman (aka Columbia-Platte) intro.

They're the same thing.

Hiya Moby! Just sneaking onto the forums to read up a little during the lull just before Christmas. 3 weekends of snow have me hankering for some blooms.

Why do you say Northern Carillon and Silk Road are the same thing? The Lily Register has them as two different registrations. Just curious.....they do look pretty identical.

I bet you're hankering for anything but white! Sounds like you and a lot of other folks have been getting blasted. We got lucky this time ~ right on the edge of it and ended up with nothing at all.

Seems like winter is a good time for a long story...??? I've wondered about this as well. I'd love to know at least a little bit more?

It's not my intention to 'stir the pot', (some hard feelings were / are involved) and there are a couple of versions of the story. But here goes.....

Once upon a time, there was the now defunct Oregon Bulb Farm. The kind of place you might send your 'plant goods' to be put into production. The doors were closed for circumstances unknown to me, but plants were lost, auctioned, etc..

It's a tough business to be in.

Oh yes she started kindergarten this year. She's loving it. Got tired of playing around with her 40+ mom and loves having some kids to play with these days. Here's the first day of school.

I may try to get up there this year, Laura. I had such a great time 2 years ago! My oldest graduates in May and it's such a busy time in the garden so we'll see. Is there a thread going on it already somewhere?

Hiya Maxine! Time does sure goes by quickly. My oldest turned 18 a couple of weeks ago and it really makes me cherish the time with Leah now at this age.

What a doll! She looks just the same, just bigger. The "old one" sure enjoyed seeing her pic. :)
