CLOSED: Snapdragon Seed Thieves!!

Winamac, IN

Hi, I need to get this question answered before I lose thousands more of my snapdragon seeds this summer. There was a HUGE infestation, I don't have any pics, of these little beetle things on my snapdragons this summer - JUST my snapdragons - that ate through every single seed pod (not ripe) and ate the seeds before they turned. They lived on my dragons, and mated on my dragons. I tried a REALLY strong Pesticide, but it didn't work, they came back a few days later. Out of over 200 snapdragon plants, I collected only about 20 seeds. Can someone tell me what these are and how to get rid of them? They resembled the milkweed bug (above) with the orange X on thier back, but they were perfectly round. Please help!!

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what do Praying Mantis' do in the winter? I live in Zone 5 and my husband and I rescued a LARGE one from a football game and brought it home and put it in our habitat friendly back yard in October. Will we see it again next year?
