Hi,
I am looking for some plants that looks like spikes, e.g yucca, that will take the TX sun for my rock garden. But due to the scale of things, I need something that grows to a maximum of 12 inches. are there other plants that look like yucca but will remain smaller?
Any help appreciated
thanks,
xman
Small spike plant
I have an Agave utahensis var. nevadensis that has remained 6" high for 20 years. There's a few Agaves that remain small. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/105034/ Agave victoriae-reginae 'Compacta'
I love the look of agaves, unfortunately they are not hardy in my zone (7a/b).
thanks,
xman
The first one I mentioned should do just fine in your zone.
