it seems that us blufftonians will get our first official freeze this coming weekend! http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=29910&hourly=1&yday=347&weekday=Friday
LOOK OUT BEAUFORT!
Do you really believe those forecasts, diehrd? Clearly we've got a cold front headed our way. Happens every season, so that's probably a fairly safe forecast. But these jokers can no more predict actual Hi's and Lo's than they can predict college football scores, or number of marbles in a jar. Best thing is be prepared, because you KNOW cold is coming, sooner or later, no matter what the pundits "forecast". I don't even listen to them anymore...too many wild goose chases over the years.
lol i know what you mean.... they rally do get frustating. we already had a frost, but supposedly it didn't freeze, and was only 34. W/E! i'm just sayin that this time, (if it does freeze, which i hope it won't) then it will be our first "official" one since they predicted it ahead of time
I always use the WTOC website. For Bluffton they're pretty close to dead on 2 or 3 days out. Over 3 days forget it. Ocean is still warm so I wouldn't worry to much about a freeze. Inland yes, where you are no. I bet Sun City will get frost. Traditions I-95 will. Oh I mean Traditions Hilton Head. LOL.
hahaha thats funny! why'd they make that anyways? i really want to go see it, but it seems like it would hve been better to make more plantations or something like that.either way i guess i'll go out and cover the poinsettia to keep the blooms safe
core whats the url for wtoc? wunderground.com is forecasting 33 now so hopefully it will continue to be warmer

Top left side has the 7 day forecast.
thanks
holy goodness! WSAV is predicting 29, and WTOC is predicting 31 monday night!!!!

Those temps will be a switch, seeing as we've broken records for highs the last several days. I'm just hoping the forecast for rain comes through for today.
Doing my little rain dance, currently to the tunes of the Reverend Al Green, while I clean the house.
J
i just woke up (yes i know i'm a night owl!!!) to rain here.... hope some comes up your way soon!
Just... woke... up? Ah, to be a teenager again and still have the ability to sleep like a stone. I've been up since 5.
It is raining here. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J
i'm sorry... but yes it is nice to sleep glad to hear it's raining. where is seabrook? and wy were you up so early? if you don't mind me asking.
It spit a little up here by the Limehouse Bridge this morning...just enough to wet surfaces but not help the ground moisture even a little bit, I hope it's not over, but it's getting much brighter out there, so I think it's over. Rats!!!
Rats! There is more rain out there but it looks like it might stay to the west.
Our mailing address is Seabrook, but we're in Sheldon. Right near the Old Sheldon Church.
I get up so early because I'm one of those deviant morning people and 'cause I have a gazillion animals that I need to take care of before going to work.
J
oh i c..... we have a tornado watch now
Yea, noticed the tornado watch. 'til 6am.
"Tornadoes...hail to 1 inch in diameter...thunderstorm wind gusts
to 70 mph...and dangerous lightning are possible"
The National Weather Service is such an optimistic group of folks. ;*> Think I'll go put all the fur kids to bed.
J
fur kids! at first you meant children with uncontrolled body hair! i'm so literal
We got nearly 1 inch of rain. (yay) Looks like mid-20s tonight for Summerville. :(
Everybody pray real hard that this wind keeps up for the next day or so. That should help keep the frost from settling.
We just came home and there is 1 1/2" in the rain guage. WooHoo.......
It is 50 degrees here right now but it feels much colder and I swear it smells like snow.
i'm not the only one that can smell snow???? i always thought i was the only one.... (out of the 7 times i remember snow). i kinda want the wind to settle a bit (not completely) because it is blowing the christmas decorations i worked so hard for off. also it is blowing the covers off the plants i want to protect >:-(

I have 40 degrees right now, going to be a little chilly tonight. Snow? Come on I've never seen snow here. One morning at like 5:30 I saw a few flakes go by and that was it.
i didn't mean it was going to happen it just kinda smelled like it does before it snows and is real cold
i don't think it quite got to freezing here but darn close. i set a cup of water out exposed last night, and today it is not frozen. no frost because of the wind and the ground seemed warmer than the air. our thermometer is reading just barely above 32*F at 7:00 am. how did everyone else fare???
PS wish me well on my exams today!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!!!!!
It got down to 38 here, Brrrrrrrrr
No frost here.
thanks it was a short day... i think i made a C on bible :-( for that class, a C is like failing! but at leat i did well on biology... only 3 more then BREAK!!!!!!
PS the window in one of my classes was left open all weekend and i was shivering during the exams!
We were right at 32 this morning, too, but I didn't notice any frost, either.
J
My calculus professor use to leave the window open on purpose. He didn't want anyone drifting off to sleep. LOL.
A C on bible? Your going to stoned at the next retreat.
Settle down hippies.
I didn't mean that in a good way.
lolthe bible teacher likes me, plus we won th review game.... i'm not a total flunkie! my biology teacher should do what ur clculus prof, did..... he is so boring and monotonous
The most boring class I ever had was a basic programing class taught by an Indian lady. Literally she would open the book and read from it. It was a twice a week course so I think it was a hour and 20 minutes long. She started giving a daily quiz because no one was showing up to her class. I read the Wall Street Journal everytime I went to that class. front to back. LOL.
haha that is like geography last year....but i texted and talked..... and my whole row started a massage train!
Exactly 29 on our back porch at 7 this morning, 35 in the "greenhouse", and frost on the windshield.
Only noticeable casualty were the remaining impatiens.
Tonight has me worried, though. :-]
Deb
yep. WTOCsays 29* here then all over the 40's for the following week
Yep, they're calling for 24 here. Oh pleeeze be wrong!
