Birds during a winter storm

Saint Cloud, MN(Zone 4b)

LOL-I just spent 30 minutes watching the squirrels on You Tube!! LOL I have decided keeping them away will be impossible unless I get one of those yankee flippers or make myself a catapult out of a small basket like they did on one of those videos-LOL
Thanks for sharing :o)

Thanks, burn. I think that was the same video that you may have seen on TV a long time ago. At least that's the one I was looking for. It seems like they did a whole show on it, but it was years ago that I saw it.

distantkin--About the squirrels--have you tried using safflower seed exclusively for a while--generally the squirrels don't care for it and possibly will go elsewhere if that is all there is to eat. The birds will become accustomed to it, though. Cardinals love it.

Anyway, it works pretty well for us...

burn, Love all your winter pics of your backyard birds! So many redpolls and I don't have a single one! And Pine Grosbeaks aren't around here either...wonder why...? Yours is so pretty!

I will have to try that-I usually only do sunflower with fruit...I get many wonderful birds that way. I am willing to try anything just to see my cardiinals back :o)

Thanks tabasco. I come to the bird threads also, to see birds I don't have in my yard., and Robbi, thank you too, I realized I never said thank you for compliments sorry. I just put out Pumpkin seeds yesterday, someone has said they attract cardinals. They're suppose to be in our area too, sure hope they come.
