No grass skirt needed. We call sarongs, lava-lava. Any island dance can be done in a lava-lava...gently wave arms and hands in air right at eye level...repeat "Bali Hai will call you" over and over...tap heels together 3 times and say "there's no place like kwaj, there's no place like kwaj"...I'll catch you when you fall out of the sky into my lagoon!

Shari, do you have a picture of a lava-lava. Maybe that is what I need for my excursion. Need something to cover my fluffy.
A lava-lava,pareo, sarong...just a rectangular piece of cloth, sometimes with fringe that you tie at waist or at bust or wear as a shawl. I have several. Use them for bathing suit coverups or skirts if I need to dress up a bit.
O K . Not sure I could keep it covering all the place I want covered...like from the neck to the toes.

No sewing necessary...two great places are Rainbow Hawaiian Products and Hilo Hattie's. Both ship. Rainbow is less expensive and I really like their clothes, but Hilo Hattie's has great quality for the most part, so they are worth the extra $$ and you can always find things on sale.
