Happy Holidays AV BINGO the game continues!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Looks like LOTS of us will be splitting the biggest loser prize *lol*
I still need 5 also. *lol*
This is the second time I play bingo and the second time I don't even come close *lol*

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

None for me in several calls.

Janet thank you for letting us know about Eunice's brother. I will pray for her and her family.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Finally got another one... I was starting to think I had the wrong list! Still need four. All the pictures are making me want more AVs, and more, and more :-)

(Zone 1)

Game's not over yet Ladies! Still eleven more calls and usually when it gets down towards the end of the game you start getting one after another! So, check your cards against the list of calls that have been made so far - Critter posted the list at the top of this page and it's up to date.

:)

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Glad I checked because I had missed one.

(Zone 1)

Makshi, I think that happens to all of us. I know when I am playing I have to keep going back and checking against the call list because I always miss one or sometimes too! So exciting when you find that has happened - cause you end up closer than you thought!

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Yes I did and ain't it grand?

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Well, I just scrolled back up to take a look at the ongoing list and see that I missed one too :)
The only thing is, on my card I have 19. Ness' Cranberry Swirl
Maybe I wrote something wrong? It's listed as 19. Buckeye Cranberry Sparkler? Either way I have 19 on my card :)

(Zone 1)

Here's the link to the Master List Critter is choosing from: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4201694

Buckeye Cranberry Sparkler is #17 on the list
Ness' Cranberry Swirl is # 19 on the list

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Still need five..lol I forgot to tell you Jill, I love that picture of Ivy Joy...it looks like it "iced"! Just beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to post the descriptions and the pictures...they are all so beautiful!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Whoops, good catch, Kim & Lin! I was updating that list at the top quickly this morning before heading out the door... either way, 17 and 19 have both been called, and B. Cranberry Sparkler and N. Cranberry Swirl have both been called, so hopefully nobody got too confused! I'll go to the list of calls at the top and edit so the right numbers are with the names. :-)

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

AWWWW shucks Jill, I thought I would win a "boobie" prize for figuring it out first *lol* After all.......a "boobie" prize would be very fitting for me *lol*
(just playin' w/cha *lol*)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Oh, and you're quite welcome, Janet... the photos are lovely, aren't they? I had fun looking through the database for great photos as well as holiday themed names. :-)

Here's another call for this evening...

6. Christmas Glitter

Christmas Glitter (8505) 11/09/1996 (S. Sorano) Double pink star/rose sparkle flecks, blue fantasy, rose sparkle edge. Variegated green and white, plain, ovate. Standard

They get prettier with each call!

hmmmm ... How's everybody doing in the game? I bet we have a Bingo by ...

next week! LOL

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Good morning!

Has everybody had a chance to check their cards after last night's call? Are we ready for another one?

Eliot Kitten has to go get his teeth checked this morning... silly boy got in his adult canines without dropping his baby ones... they actually came out last night when we were wrestling, so he won't have to go in tomorrow for oral surgery, but he should still go for a check to be sure everything is OK. So if I don't pop right back in with a call, that's where I am! But I'll be back later, with bells on, LOL!

Drumheller, Alberta, Canada(Zone 3a)

I have 3 calls left to go! Yippee!

(Zone 1)

Oooh ... So happy for Eliot that his baby teeth came out on their own! Give him a pat on the head for me! I hope his vet appointment goes well. I'm heading out to the Dentist in a few minutes myself - mine is for my regular cleaning! No teeth pulling for me today, thank goodness!

Woo Hoo ... Ccino42! You are getting close! I bet a lot of y'all are waiting for another call!

I will check back in later on ... doing some shopping after the dentist visit so it will be late this afternoon before I'm back on the computer.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

"I bet a lot of y'all are waiting for another call!"

LOL, that's my signal that last night's 'Christmas Glitter' wasn't the last call that 4 people had been waiting for but might not have seen yet... so I can go ahead with the next call! :-)

Number 35 on your programs... number one in your hearts...

I'm guessing a lot of you picked this one, just because it's a name that made me grin when I found it!

35. Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells (7508) 03/08/1991 (Stokes/Jackson) Double bright blue. Medium green, quilted. Miniature

There are actually two AVs with this name... The miniature above is the one that has a photo to go with it in the FC database. For the curious, here's the description of the other one:

Jingle Bells (Volkmann) Single purple large sticktite star/white edge. Dark green, quilted. Standard

North Augusta, ON

Hi everybody!!

I've been working the last 2 days and haven't had a chance to pop in. Two 12 hour shifts and I am having night mares about Bounce sheets chasing me around. And dusters, they pour out of the machines at the rate of 1200 every minute and it is a scramble to keep up I tell ya.

I am down to needing 2 more calls, keep up the good work Critter!!! Sending ESP your way.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Jill no no don't listen to three listen to me. I only need 3 more.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh this is so sad, I still need 2. You know, I have decided I am one of those people who couldn't win even if I had the winning lottery ticket *lol*
It's OK....all the fun is in playing and hanging out with all of you :)
I love to laugh at me, myself and I. The 3 of us all think I'm a little nutty :) But we all like us *lol*
Thus, the reason I grow plants.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Kim do you really think we are all a little off kilter? My family is sure that I am. They always want to know why I have some many plants. I tell them it is better than killing them or drinking.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh that is great Makshi. Made me laugh.
I hear ya though. The greatest gift of all is the ability to laugh at yourself.
I go beyond laughing at myself sometimes *lol* I TRY not to take life too seriously. Sometimes it's harder than others. Lately I have felt SO off it isn't funny but I think I'm starting to creep out of it a little at a time :)
My daughter thinks I am THE craziest mother in the world but I can tell she thinks it's pretty cool. I have SO much fun playing with her and always tell her how much I wish when I was a little girl I had a mom who would play around with me. That someday she will look back and laugh her butt off about how crazy her mom is. I love to dance in Lowe's down the light aisle when I'm with her. All the motion lights come on and I pretend I have a broom in my hand as I sway to to music that isn't there. The look on her face is Priceless. There's Mastercard and then there's.........me *lol*

(Zone 1)

Kim .... You make me smile! I don't have any kids , but I wonder what hubby would do if I went dancing down the isles while he was with me? hmmm ... I might have to give it a try sometime! LOL. I know he will think I'm nuts and ask me what in the world made me do that. I can blame it on my DG friend Kim! I can see him rolling his eyes now! But, I know he would laugh!

Life is too short to NOT be happy! I know it's impossible to be in a good mood all the time, but we do make our own happiness and fun don't we? So, I think we should all go dancing down the isles of the stores when shopping ... maybe sing a little song too! Hopefully it would put smiles on some faces!

Wow! Another Bingo call ... looks like some of y'all are getting close!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

;*( still not on my card...LOL I am sure some are getting very very close!!!

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Yea! It was on my card - just need two.

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Kim, You are a riot. I think it is better to laugh at yourself before other people beat you to it and make you feel like an idiot. Than you can tell them thank you for noticing. :)

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

One day, she said.........mom,...........let me see your blooms.
My ears heard..........mom.......let me see your balloons.
So out there on the front lawn, I lifted my sweatshirt and said.........these balloons?
I thought she was absolutely going to die!
I laughed SO hard I had tears rolling down my face and she just does that 13 year old.......OMG I can't believe that's my mother thing *lol*
It's life priceless?.........for everything in life there's Mastercard........except for the things that REALLY matter in this world *lol*

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Kim, ya know you ain't right... but you sure are fun! Don't worry, you're supposed to embarrass your kids; I'm pretty sure it's written into the mom job description, down in the fine print.

You did cause me to go searching through First Class looking for AV names... I'm afraid I couldn't find any AVs named "Balloons," but there is one called 'Pink Balloon' that would work if you just reversed the description a little, LOL (apologies to any with delicate sensitivities).

Pink Balloon (J. Swift) Semidouble rose/white tips. Ruffled. Standard

Here's another that might suit you...

Crazy Gal (J. Bell) Pink large/purple fantasy. Medium green. Standard (ANZ 384, 1990)

Yes, yes, I know... you're hoping for an actual bonus call tonight... Has everybody been good today? Sparklingly, angelically good?

North Augusta, ON

as good as a redhead can be :))

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

That's good enough!

LOL, I had the call all ready to post... but I was waiting until somebody actually responded. :-)

25. Ness' Angel Glitter

Ness' Angel Glitter (8132) 01/19/1995 (D. Ness) Semidouble fuchsia ruffled pansy/darker sparkle fantasy, edge. Dark green, pointed, serrated/red back. Semiminiature

Yeah! I have that one on my card...down to 2!!!!

Another fitting AV for Kim:

Silly Girl (Lyon) Semi double medium pink pansy/red sparkle edge. Light green, girl foliage. Miniature.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I just read the last few days on the thread and I love it! Can't wait to see who is going to bingo. I have grown Cranberry Sparkler and she is fun.

Danville, VA(Zone 7a)

Hello Ladies,
I know I have not been around much but I love reading all the posts... You all are a hoot....
I need 4 and this is the closest I have been ever playing bingo with you all... :-)
Type more tomorrow after work as it is my bed time now...
Hugs,
Susan

(Zone 1)

Oh Kim, you are so cute! I'm too chicken to do something like that - I would embarass myself, but I agree with Critter about embarassing your kids ... must be written somewhere in the Mom description! And, I know when they get older they will laugh about it even it they don't find it funny right now!

Well, I went to the dentist this morning for my 6 month cleaning and check up ... have to go back tomorrow for a filling! Wish they could have done it today, but they were booked, couldn't get me in first thing in the morning either so I am going at 1 O'clock tomorrow. I like early appointments so it doesn't mess up my day, LOL. Guess I can finish shopping after the dentist though. I don't do novocaine so I won't be numb ... hate that feeling of my face being swollen out to there! I have had many fillings without novocaine. Had a dentist many years ago who refused to fill teeth without it - gave me a choice of novocaine or that funny gas (can't remember what it's called). I get horrendous headaches when novocaine wears off and I'm afraid of the gas stuff ... so I choose nothing. My dentist is real good! He knows I would let him know real quick if it hurt! I did have a root canal years ago where they used Lidocaine which was great ... didn't feel a thing and no numbness feeling at all!

Well, we've had two calls today I see! It's getting fun now .... I just know we will probably have at least one bingo by mid week next week! Maybe more! Don't forget to check your cards closely every day! Six great prizes to be won! I look forward to seeing who is 1st, 2nd and so on!

Hey Kim ... better keep those Balloons under cover when in your yard at this time of year or they may end up ... Frozen in time!

hee hee ... there's an AV with that name! http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/131396/

Northeast, NE(Zone 5a)

Goodness I have been having Bingo Withdrawals..lol..haven't had time to get online to check the calls.Looks like I still need 2 or 3..I need to doublecheck. I sure do love all the beautiful pics critter! Good Luck Everyone!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

I FINALLY had one! I am down to four now...good luck ladies! There are lots of you with only one or two left it sounds like!! Hi, Nancy, and Susan, we missed you here! Lin, I hate the dentist too!!

Lubbock, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh Lin- You are one brave woman! I hate the shots the dentist gives and the numb feeling as well. I always ask for the gas. Even though it makes me have really strange thoughts? With my imagination it's probably a good thing I'm not a drug addict!LOL I seem to react to the shots badly as well. But I get them anyway. Cluck cluck chicken!
Have missed chatting the last couple days- Just not enough hours in the day for all that needs doing!
