I'm going to guess that your mystery bird is either an American Tree Sparrow or a Chipping Sparrow in it's winter colors and out of it's range a bit :-) I'm not good on I.D.ing the sparrows yet, hopefully Pelle or Resin will come along with the answer.
Nice pics and I really like your feeder set up! How many feeding ports does your big screen feeder (#24) have?
Sadie,
This time of year, it has to be the American Tree Sparrow (from your two choices). Some years I get them, usually when it's the coldest.

I love to see them when they come down from the North! ;-)

This says "There are over 12 total feeding portals on this feeder and birds may cling to the screen or use a perch or the feeder tray to feed." Didn't think (know) there were that many.
Nice pics Marilyn!
You have a good variety of birds!
I believe #9,10,and 11 is a young Field Sparrow.
Hard Call; I'll say American Tree Sparrow.
Thanks JWS and Pelle!
Thanks for the info Marilyn. I think I've seen that one at Tractor Supply, I'll have to look and see if they still have them.
Are you getting any snow this morning? It bypassed us again, stayed too warm overnight.
Sadie,
Lucky you! Yes, it's been snowing this morning, suppose to be 1 - 3".
That feeder is at Petsmart. Around 32 or 33 there and a little less at Tractor Supply.
Sybil ( original_sybil ) also has that feeder. You can ask her about it too. In fact, she had hers before I did, that's where I got the idea of the feeder. It's a very heavy feeder and I'm just adding thistle to mine. The GF's love perching and clinging to it.

Marilyn ~ I hope your roads don't get too bad. It's supposed to get down to 21 tonight, so I'm hoping our rain stops and the roads have a chance to dry off by then, I just hate those slippery drives to work!
I think I remember asking Sybil about hers too, LOL, how that for a duh moment ;-)
