No, but I think he is the former editor of Organic Gardening magazine.

I don't recall him mentioning anything on his website about editoring at Organic Gardening

I may be mistaken. I'll have to dig up an old issue of OG, if I can find one. I'm sure I saved one or two issues with articles that I wanted to re-read.

Mike has a web site called www.freeplants.com. He sells propagation literature and a backyard growing system. He runs a 'back yard growers' message board which is really good. I bought his books about 2 years ago and joined the board. He basicly teaches you how to start your own nursery. He never mentioned editing anything. He worked in the nursery business most of his life and is very knowledgable. Lives in Perry, Ohio. My wife and I now have our own backyard propagation business and so far, we are doing well. We sell rooted cuttings on the web and plants at the local farmers markets. Gene

Mike: He is not a "dumb old dirt farmer". He is a very apt business man. You buy his propagation books and DVDs for x dollars. Then he tells you the real value of his system is in the message board (this is very true) and you can join for x dollars more.

I have not looked at his membership system since I joined, but I think he now has some sort of "temporary" membership that is good for a month I think. If you decide to go for it, take advantage of the temp thing on the message board. There are some very very good folks there and the info is all archived. Extremely good info. You have a question, someone on the board has the answer.

I am not trying to be a salesman, I just love what he has taught me. If you deicde to do it, I will give you my website and I get a small commission if you sign up via my site. Gene

I recently received his system. I have not had time to fully review it all, but was i saw was very interesting. In his videos he come a across very friendly and down to earth. I won't go into the details but he did something for me that I never expected. He may be a business man be he also has a big heart.
