Found this on my ceiling while cleaning and took it ouside to take picts of it, which are still not that sharp because of the dark weather.
I found one in my insectbook that looks identical in body shape: Araneus quadratus but mine has a different pattern on its back,
then I found another on the web with identical body, better matching patterns, but still not the same...

CLOSED: Could this spider belong to the genus Araneus ?
There are more than 600 species in the genus Araneus.
I think it's one of them.
Thank you OldNed! I suppose its impossible to find the right specie..
so I'll mark this as being solved..
bonitin,
I think your spider is the European Garden Spider - Araneus diadematus, as in the link you provided above and as shown here: http://www.nicksspiders.com/nicksspiders/araneusdiadematus.htm
We have a page for it in BugFiles here: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/1185/
and would be pleased if you could add your image,
Kennedy
Thank you Kennedy!
The strange thing is that I found it inside the house on the ceiling and it didn't have a web, I suppose it will be happy I moved it outside as it is after all a 'garden' spider..
I'll enter it in the BF.
