I bought 3 of these seeds and grew them this summer. They have a very impressive metalic sheen.

PHOTO CREDIT KOMERI

I am wondering because the original photo showed a blue and a lilac bloom. Both of mine came out lilac so I am wondering if anyone got the blue type? I would like to trade to have both colors.

Beth - Both colors are pretty, but the blue is outstanding! Love that color of blue! I hope you find someone who has the blue!

The Lavender color reminds me of some seeds I got from Emma. They also had that shiny sheen to them. Large blooms. Lovely indeed!

These stay the same purple ALL DAY, rather than opening blue and shifting to purple. I don't know if the seeds are still being offered for sale on ebay...

Shima can translate to either "Island" or "Stripe"...there doesn't seem to be any stripes so maybe the "Island" translation is more applicable...and maybe someone who knows Japanese could offer a better translation at some point...

There were definitely no stripes on this type....highly metalic sheen over a solid light purple. It was really hard to photograph the sheen they had.
