Doug,

I can't get your link to open for me. In fact nothing happens when I put my mouse over it.

edit: I just got it to open by doing a copy and paste with just the www. section

Another question. Can those T5 bulbs be used in normal florescent light fixtures or only in their expensive ones? I have both 8' and 4' lengths here.

Molly,

Those High output T-5 bulbs can only be used in special fixtures. They require a special ballast and their small diameter (about a half and inch) would not fit into a standard fluorescent socket. Some people build their own fixtures, but the ballasts themselves are around $50 and going that route is way beyond my capabilities.

Thanks Doug. Those fixtures are very expensive!

A wonderful set up! I like it!

And your plants look very happy!

Thanks for the info! I'll have to read up more on T-5's!

I was looking at a place in Rome, NY: http://www.kggardensupply.com/
I also called hgtsupply about the t5's: http://www.htgsupply.com/
If enough of us wanted lights, I bet one or the other would give us a deal. I need quite a few of the 4 light, 4 foot models. I was going to drive out to Rome, once things settle down, and take a look at his fixtures.
