I hope you're feeling better. I know how stress can do a number on our bodies. I'm glad to hear your daughter is bringing the turkey and stuffing...less for you to worry about. And never worry about where anyone will sleep! When I visit someone's home I expect to sleep on the couch, in a chair, or on the floor if needed....that's half the fun, isn't it? It's so great to hear that you have so much family coming home for Thanksgiving! That's what makes it special and memorable.
I also hope you have just the right amount of snow. Not too little, not too much. Snow on holidays is so magical....it makes me feel like a kid again. :)

Good Morning! Happy Blessed Thanksgiving to all of my friends and fellow gardeners.Hope you all have a wonderful and thankful Thanksgiiving! We didnt get to much snow-it covered everything and is pretty on trees and ground.My daughter Christina is bring turkey
I found a box corn bread and i started stuffing -cause she has 3 children she has to tend too and pack up the car-she called yesterday said dont make banana bread got it covered.also asked what i have -I what i need asked about onions said to bring them -asked about celery i said bring that too,I have 2 cans of cranberry sauce and squash,pototoes i have a bag off.So when she arrives we will trhow celery and onions and make a cornbread stuffing,I said we need fixings for the pie-she said we will woory about all that when i arrive-she is leaving today-sometime later to drive -I am not sure if other daughter is bringing anything we have not talked -she makes a wonderful truffle cake-but not sure if she is bringing it.Im so happy my son who is 19 will be coming he has not been up and anxious to see him and spend time with all 3 of them.It has been since last xmas we all have been together.My husband went out yetsreday and make a woonder frame to hold a mattress to make another bed we have that in spare room-I will put my daughter and her family one room she is bringing a air matress -didnt know that till yesterday.And my spare room has been for my other daughter -I will either -sleep in spare room with matress my hubby just made or take the couch.It is all coming together.
I am so thankful to still be here -has been close call this year.I am thankful we have heat and are warm ,food to eat,Thankful for my family and my friends-expecially all of you-who share good times and the bad.I am thankful we live in USA and are free.When you see so much hurt and pain in other countries.I am thankful for so much -I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful day!Love and huggs to all of you!

When I joined DG last year, we didn't have a lot of extra cash - absolutely wonderful people sent me seeds - didn't ask for cash or stamps or anything - just the promise that I would pass the favour forward. This year I have lots of seeds and passing forward is what I am doing.
That's what we are here for - to take care of each other and to leave the world better than when wew found it.

Robin, I too have been blessed by Dave's garden angels. And just when you are feeling like the whole world is sitting on your shoulders, God sends someone from DG to make things brighter:) This is one of the most giving, caring and loving fellowships I have ever been blessed to be a member of.

Thank you cat64129, It is so true. Some of my closest friendships were made because of this site. I think it does us all good to hear stories like this. I think sometimes we see some much negative anymore that we tend to forget that there still are very special people out there that truly care about us.
There really are. I've only been here 3 months, but other than a couple of squabbles on threads, I haven't seen anything negative. And those were just misunderstandings. I work with computers during the day, and never wanted to even get ON one when I get home! But now....I think I finaly found something on the internet I could get addicted to! LOL! Gotta get in here and see whats happenbing in all the different forums, and see if I got any dmail!
I think gardeners are basically just good people. Everyone made me feel so welcome.

good afternoon-How was everyones thanksgiving mine was good-daughter stopped and bought 20 lb turkey and fixings we had more than enough today i made a turkey soup I have a cold i hope this helps -it tasts yummy .
Got a question for all dgers---Today in the mail i got a rose book from someone in flordia track and sand?I didnt order anything or have any out going trades out here.So all my trades have stopped except for george he had some lily seeds.Which george i recieved today will send ones you requested out in the morning mail.anyone know who this is -inside was a message have a great holiday.

There always is. Sometimes we just get so consumed with all that's going on in our lives, we can't see them through. I firmly believe there is a reason for everything that happens in our lives. We may not be able to see it for awhile, but it's there

Robin, I am so glad you are getting to stay at DG. It does my heart good to know there are such great people here and I am glad that you posted that you had to leave your plants behind. I have lots of plants that need divided in the spring and would be glad to share them with you so dmail me in the spring and some will be headed your way.

Hello, Robin, and all...I have "been away", that is from the computer and Dave's Garden for a while, after having a knee replacement, and 3 shoulder surgeries. (No, I don't have 3 shoulders, very funny!) After the first shoulder surgery on my left side, the doctor told me I needed a rotator cuff replacement, and then after that surgery, my right shoulder was hurting more than the left one, so, Dec 28th, I had arthroscopic surgery on that one. I have been doin PT, well, forever...
I hope to start to clean up my gardens this spring, as we have had a lot of snow lately, so that will mean loads of weeds, since sunny weather is predicted for a whole week!
I have missed sharing with all of you, and hope to have plenty of plants and seeds to share in the coming season.
I am looking forward to a beautiful spring with all of you.
And welcome back, Robin! What a wonderful group!

I too had a right shoulder surgery and wrist surgery and i am thinking about my left shoulder i am in pain all the time for over use.So i do know about those surgerys.
