CLOSED: Do these bite?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I have never seen a spider like this before. Last year I found one underneath a rock but the color was a deep, vibrant red unlike this yellow/orange color. They look like crabs to me. Are they harmful? I am allergic to a few insect bites.

It's an orb weaver, probably a Cat-Faced Spider Araneus gemmoides. As far as I know, most spiders have a venomous bite, enough to paralyze their prey which is usually about the spider's size or smaller. It won't do a thing to most people, though. I don't know if anyone's allergic to them or not.
