Wild MG (need I D)

Mesilla Park, NM

Here are some photos of this flower in bloom, I took them Sat morning before our trip.

I think it is a wild purpurea, with both heart shaped leaves and trilobed, for some reason I got it into my head that the purpureas only had heart shaped leaves.. After making a new Daylilly bed, these germinated in a couple of weeks and are now blooming. I was almost sure it would a hederacea but it does not have the hairy and twisted sepals. The plants are very short, but that could be due to the cold weather.

I have tri-lobed purpurea seeds (original seeds came from Frank) if anyone is interested in any.

Thanks Ron,
Beth, did you grow any of those out? And if you did, what did they look like (purple or blue)..

I found another one that had purple flowers, but every time I was going to take a photo the flowers never completely opened up... I pulled out the plant out of the ground and brought it home put into water and it did give some seeds, this one had only heart shaped leaves.

Mine were the purple sort.
