I moved my potted JMG's indoors thinking I might be able to get a couple to winter over (?). Anyway...I got a bloom yesterday from one that was supposed to be Kanoko, but the bloom is white and the entire outside edge has a greenish hue. Is this just an oddball thing because of the plant being moved indoors? This had bloomed a couple times before although I can't recall what the blooms looked like.
Thanks~
Sandy
White JMG with green
I've had several flowers with the greenish hue at that edges, but it is at the stage when they are about to open or the day before, especially with fuji shibori. So, it may be the same with yours..
Was your's fully open, or was it partially open? When it matures, it will lose the green. Let us know what happens, it's quite interesting.

The Kanokos can have variable "flecking" on them, so some can have almost none. Then you will see an almost white flower. The greenish color is something I have been interested in because I get it in the ribs of my flowers on cool mornings. It seems to go away as the day heats up or as the bloom is subjected to full sun.
It's just another interesting way the color of the bloom changes over the length of the day.
