Will trade my MG seeds for any Red or Blue Glass bottles

Mesilla Park, NM

I need some Cobalt blue and Red glass bottles,
old Vicks glass bottles will do. Just make sure the bottles are not the new ones that they put a blue or red film in them some of them are just tinted. I need more red than blue, but will take both. (or any pieces of scrap stained glass).

Or I can trade sumping else..lol. D-mail me if you have any in your hiding places..

Edited to add: Broken/cracked bottles OKay.. I'm going to smash them anyway and put them into my tumbler.

I have scrap stained glass, but I'm afraid of how much it would be to mail it! Maybe if I put it in a flat rate box...

That sounds great to me, I'll pay for postage, I wonder if I could get a bowling ball in one of those flat rate boxes..? lol..

edited to add: you can also pick some seeds and I'll pay postage..

But do you want all the scraps or just red and blue? ...and how much, I think there is a LOT of it. I just couldn't throw away the smaller pieces, which would probably be big pieces for what you are doing.

Beth, I'll take it all, small ones too.. could be a couple of Priority boxes, but that is alright. I just got a box with broken wine bottles and you need to make sure you put it in a plastic bag first because the weight makes the corners of the box open up and they will leak out (maybe double tape).. don't throw the small ones out, I can use them also.

Let me know if you would like some of the stuff I make (stackable frogs).. A.

I've got the DH looking out in the barn for all my old stained glass scraps. I know there is a ton of them somewhere...I'll get back to you tomorrow on just how many!

This is a hummingbird I did last night using dollar store glass.. for the center of the birdbath bowl. I could make you something like that.. I reuse everything.. that yellow stuff is mesh from a bag that bulbs came in, I just drew the picture, traced it onto the mesh, then put wax paper under it and started glueing..

That's nice! I did stained glass for years and still have some of it in my house. I stopped doing it when I got married because my DH is not careful and breaks things and now we have 8 dogs that are a hazard to anything breakable, too.
I'll have to take some photos of my "windows" that are still surviving the mayhem at home!

Oh my! I would love to see your windows.. so far, that is one thing i haven't learned to do, and I will before I die, I've been wanting to make a stained glass window for a very long time and Now, I have the time, too bad we have to wait till we are older to get to do what we like.

I think your art would be more durable since it's set in concrete. I'd love to do a MG window sometime...someday....if things were different!
