My next science project.

Clatskanie, OR(Zone 9b)

Some of you may remember my experiments with using iodine as a disinfectant with mg seeds prone to mold during the germination process. In this project
I achieved what for me was a stunning success, following the disasters in germinating I.nhil seeds in the spring. I would like to perform the same project with I.nhil seeds for the sake of those of us who need to start them inside, in order to get any blooms at all before frost.

I need a partner in this project, who has ample I.nhil seeds that can be expended on this science project. I have some I. nhil seeds, but they are all named and too prescious to waste. The quality of seeds I need for this project
can be: tags lost, mixed, must be I.nhil, any reason you can think of as long as they are viable healthy seeds in general. I need 50 or so for this project.

There is a geographic parallel, across the USA, north of which , outdoor sown
I.nhil seeds will not produce viable seeds. The growing season is just too short for the seeds to ripen. The line moves north and south according to the weather a little from one year to the next.

If you can help me out on this project, and are willing, I will be glad to pay all the
postage and mailing costs. Let me know. Frank

Well, Frank . . . I do have a supply of SOH-nots (I. nil) I got from various sources. Pretty sure there are about 50. I'll count them and let you know. Nichole

Counted the seeds . . . I've got about 35 in the 3 packets. If you want them, you can have them. From the three vines that I grew, there are some drying pods . . . I could probably round them out to 50 and have some left over if anyone wants a few (any takers? I know there was someone who said they wanted some, but I can't find the post!).

Let me know if you'd like me to send them to you. Nichole

Hi Frank,

I have several hundred seeds of Ipomoea nil that I could supply for your experiment. They are from a 2006 harvest, but should germinate just fine. They are not large flowered and grow vigorously. They are from the Q0426 line, but do not carry the feathered gene. They produce plants that have heartshaped yellow leaves with rolled edges and beautiful intense blue regular sized flowers.

Let me know if they will work for you and I'll send some out west! - Arlan
