Nieuwegein, Netherlands(Zone 8a)

Hi Pheadra,

Can someone from Europe (the Netherlands) join as well?
Or is this for US traders only?

Looking forward to hear from you.

Regards,
Ana

Arlington, GA(Zone 8a)

Ana, I would be honored to try and get them to you,any idea on getting the seed through customs to you?

Nieuwegein, Netherlands(Zone 8a)

I have traded several times with US traders before and I guess it isn't that different from trading within the US.
Sometimes there's an customs declaration on the envelope(declaring it's a gift) , but most of the times it's a "normal" envelope.

But then again, perhaps it's better to ask someone who's traded before with someone outside the US for further details.

Thanks for letting me join the Christmas seed swap!

Ana

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

if Ana, or any other non-US member wants to send seeds into the United States, there are some guidelines to be met: (1) is it an endangered plant species? Check here:   http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/plant_imports/cites_endangered_plants.shtml
then, is it (2) a species prohibited from importation - - into the U.S. or into your state?   Check: Prohibited Plant Status: Federal & State:   http://plants.usda.gov/java/noxComposite?stateRpt=yes

when seeds are going the other way, exporting outside the U.S., then Check here for export rules & information:
http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/plant_exports/index.shtml

Hi Don,

I never knew you had to do so much to do it exactly right.
Thanks so much for the offer Don, but we will never get this all on the way before Dec 1st. And it wouldn't feel right letting you do all these extra things for me, really appreciate it though!

Sorry to have to pull out on this one, good luck with the swap and thanks Pheadra for having me and Don for wanting to help me.

Pretoria, South Africa

Please count me in. Do you have Paypal? If not, is there another way for me to get postage to you (from SA?)

Elsa

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

Please add me :-) I love swapping seeds. Just one question - do they have to be 15 different types of seeds?

To Elsa123 - many countries use internation return postage - that can be used for exactly this purpose. These are a special kind of postage - not your regular stamps. You should ask at your postoffice. :-)

Pretoria, South Africa

Thanks Seandor, will do!

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

No problem - I worked for the Canadian Post office long ago, and that's when I learned about the international return postage. At the time it was a kind of sticker that you filled out stating the country it was purchased in, etc. It was enclosed with the envelope and the recepient would afix it to the return envelope and mail stuff back.

Not sure if it is the same now. But you can check and let us all know :-)
