I know this picture is out of focus, but thought someone might know anyways. I found this butterfly on a young Ash tree. It seemed to be eating the leaves, but I'm not sure.

I think it's that Gulf Fritillary. The adults just sip nectar as far as I know - I don't think they have the mouth parts for anything else.
Claypa, I think you're right. I have seen them on my passion vines but never figured they would eat Ash trees.
