What is this critter eating my MG seeds?

I have found these little larva in several seed pods that I have harvested over the past week. What are these creatures? They apparently eat the developing seeds.

It has a stripe down it's back as seen in this photo. And as you can see, it eats the seeds from the inside out.

Have you tried cross-posting on the Pest Forum - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/f/pad/all/ - for an ID? Let us know what they come up with.

I sure did and so far no ID yet. I will absolutely let everyone know. I bet it is some kind of beetle.

It is probably a moth or beetle larvae. You should put some in a jar, and wait for them to go into the next stage. The adult stage is so much easier to ID than the grubs. Actually, you would then have the grub and the adult pictures, something entomologists seldom accomplish.
With your additional description of the discovery, would make a nice addition to the pest files. Frank
