what does a lily bulb and a coffee pot have in common

Eureka, CA

Thought I would post this fun photo for those like me who have never seen a nuclear sized lily bulb....no coffee was needed to wake me up when I opened up my parcel order that arrived from BuggyCrazy this last week.

It's hard to plant a big beauty like that one ~ you want to keep it just to look at!

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

"What does a lily bulb and a coffee pot have in common?" Answer: The coming together of two great aromas, of course (assuming fresh coffee in pot) ;-)

Southern, WI(Zone 5a)

You got it, pard!

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Pard, there ya go, sniffing things again.. ;) LOL That is an amazing lily bulb. Do tell, who is it? :)

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Last year a bought a big "Skyscraper" bulb. It put up 3 stalks with plenty of blooms on each. And now there are pods ripening on it :-) A supersized Georgette put up two stalks. Just thought I would mention what these big bulbs can do. On the other hand there is nothing wrong with regular size lily bulbs. They settle in and if they are happy and well fed in the spring they will grow big.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Wow, that a big bulb! LOL

South Milwaukee, WI

I thought that the answer was going to be ---That both can use coffee grounds---because I put all my old grounds on the garden !!!! WOW I will have to check out that vendor !!! THANKS MUCH FOR THE PICTURE !! IT'S AWESOME !!

The bulb is a Leslie Woodriff. Attached is a photo of my excavator who has lots of experience running a CAT(aka my dog Mr. Reuben). After reading many positive comments from many of you, I was confident that I would be pleased with my order from Lisa. But my experience was simply flawless...right down to the 'packed to perfection details'. I was planning on putting some of my new gems in ground. But we were pelted with some heavy dew....nothing but mud pie city right now with a rainfall amount that is over 200% above the normal.

Wow on the rainfall! I don't doubt you're ready for a break from the wet. We finally had measurable rain a couple of days ago. 1 1/4 inch. The first measurable amount since April (1 1/2 inch). We're only down about 14 inches due to how wet the prior year was. Crazy.

I've been eyeballing Buggycrazy's site for a few years now but this is the first year I did any major online plant/bulb buying so I will definitely be a customer next season (spring if there is anything available:lol:)

Mr Reuben looks way to nice to be a heavy equipment operator:lol: Not a destructive bone in his body I'll bet:lol:

Remember, if you're happy with Buggy's bulbs besure to leave positive reviews in the Watchdog... :)

dmac085,
Buggy only sells lily bulbs in the fall.

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks, I thought so but didn't remember for sure. Leaves me plenty of time to decide what to get rid of to make room for the new next fall:)

My Buggy Crazy order wnet in the ground last weekend. Gotta dig deep holes for those monsters! I wonder what she feeds them?
