A seedling to keep

Tussee, was this the seedling that you used Epsom Salts on to see if it would color up? It is beautiful. Just lovely.

AWESOME color of orange...wow...

I agree. Its an awesome color and shape. Reminds me of clementines and crushed ice.

Very pretty Tussie! Love her shape!

Many thanks, everyone. I'm hopeful the orange color develops faster next year. I have noticed some orange on the flowers just now opening in the shed, so this is a possibility.

Jeanette, the Epsom Salts went on another plant but there were no more blooms to see if it helped the color.

Tussee, what kind of lights do you have on them? I think you may have said but I forgot and can't find it.

With the potting shed, gh, and all available southern and eastern exposures used up with plants, I had to put this double peach and several others, in my bathroom. The workmen just had me move a couple of plants and the only space left was in front of my vanity. They are taking out the window and replacing with french doors. Unfortunately, the tile people are doing the removing, so now I have to wait for the finish carpenters to return. This doorway leads to the new solarium. At the moment, I would love to tell them all to forget it. The brick mason just finished with the chimney and is now bricking the south facing wall of the new rooms. As I told SH this morning, I'm sure glad the brick mason is on a set sum of money for the job and not on an hourly basis. He is very good...but he is terribly slow.

It will be wonderful when it is finished. And BELIEVE me you will love it to death when those people are out of there. One year I hung Christmas lights all over a scaffolding 2 weeks before Christmas and the brick mason got the message. He finished and got out of there fast.

Thanks for the tip, Jeanette. If these people are not gone well before Christmas, I'll hang lights and myself. Lol

I'm surprised my plants are doing as well as they are in indirect light. The brugs. are not coloring up so well, but at least they are alive.

Tussee, it looks great in your bathroom. I have one in my kitchen! LOL!

That's hilarious about Christmas lights on the scaffolding!
