Fabulous picture, pixie. Thanks so much for sharing :-)
Take a walk with me and I'll show the colors of Maine!
Pixie, you are truly one with an eye for pictures. Composition and balance and all that stuff. AND you appreciate the beauty around you. My question has always been - how do they calculate "peak"? Obviously when the colors are the loveliest, but doesn't that one with the green pine tree in the middle heighten the loveliness of the colors around it? And wouldn't that be missed by some computer?
Thank you Michaela & Carrie!
Carrie, peak is when most of the leaves that change color have changed. The green never changes color which makes I.M.H.O. picture perfect shots of contrast. I thank you for your compliments but it's hard to screw up a picture when everything around you is beautiful. I do appreciate the beauty around me and hope I never take it for granted........I have truely been blessed.
B.T.W. this is one of the baby bunnies we have named 'Cleo". Can you guess why?
More great shots Celeste. How far away from your home were these taken?
Thanks Victor, about 15-20 minutes is the farthest one.....some are 5-10 minutes away.
Wow - lucky you!
I know.....thats why I had to share, im very lucky!
Please pencil me in for this time next year!
Ok.....your orange markered in, have to keep with the color of the season!
Thank you Schickenlady. Just thought I'd give you a good reason to come to Maine if you needed one! LOL
WOW - beautiful, awesome, gorgeous, breathtaking pics!! Eleanor
Thanks Eleanor!
Very nice Celeste. I am voting for the 4:19 pic. Maine reminded me of the northwoods of WI quite a bit. More diverse than around here that's for sure.
Beautiful photos Celeste - it's been a few years since I've been back "home" in the fall - always love spring in Maine but after seeing your photos, may have to rethink my agenda and plan an October trip for next year!
Agree with Al about that one - only it's 5:19 on the East!
Tell that to my computer!
Pixie, the shots are beautiful. How high is Moe's Mt. and how long did it take to hike to the top? There is nothing like the way it feels from the top of a mountain.
bebop, I didn't hike it....we drove up and that view is actually for sale. A friend of my DH owns all the land on top of Moe's Mt. and will sell it as one big package for 6 million, there is 1800 acres in all. No idea how high it is......maybe 600-700 feet above sea level?
I agree on the 5:19 shot. I'll buy it - no, actually, just kidding, I forgot that I only have 5.9 million saved up. that's a joke - I have $5.90 saved up.
x, C
Celeste, please tell him I don't entertain anything that's priced under ten million.
Me either Victor, thats why DH & I haven't offered to buy it.LOL
Thanks for the walk pixie! Really makes me wish I could have been with you! Just look at how beautiful that is!!!! You really did capture the beauty :)
Thanks Dawn, it's hard not to capture it.....it's every where right now! I wake up in a good mood every morning because the colors just do it to you!!
I couldn't agree with you more pixie!
Pixie what a treat it was to see all of your beautiful fall pictures! I always enjoy reading what you write about Maine. Living in southern Arizona we miss out on so much especially in the fall. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful pictures!
quietyard it was my pleasure and im so glad you enjoyed them.
Arizona has some wonderful plants that I can't grow here, but would like to. So I have to forfeit tropicals for color!
