TY TY TY Thom.

Now what? Is it hardy outside? Will it be happy in a container forever? Does it need a permanent home in the ground? Or is it a house plant? (I guess I should have asked before I took it home?)

I'm a half a zone chillier than you, and I have had them live for a season or two, and die after the first freeze, not frost, but deep freeze...typical of cheating ma nature, the closer I plant them to the house, the better they've done.
I have potted them up and kept them on the windowsills through the winter, they do very well as houseplants.
I believe Ophi...(not gonna try) is hardy from 6-11...I believe.
I hope I helped.

Sorry guys, I haven't been doing my part for the forum this week. First I started randomly playing a game every once in a while, then I got all caught up in this other thread.

So if we lose most posts this week, blame it on either me or those fabulous Red Sox!

Hi Carrie
I saw your posts on Carol's thread too. I've been reading it everyday also, but have not posted.

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

I feel a little disloyal, but you know, I am not solely on DG to help the NE forum win every week. At least I don't think so.

Go ahead and post!

I (shhh) post on other forums, but haven't known exactly what to post on that one, I do feel connected in spirit though....

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

me too. I bet a lot of us NE iconoclasts would.

Southern, CT(Zone 6a)

Anita, Thank you, my wonderful first friend on DG!!

Carrie, Should I read anything into your linking my birthday thread to this one?

Milton, MA(Zone 6a)

NO. i just feel guilty for being away from Our Forum so much, so I thought I'd try to explain. There are links all over DG now to that thread, and I'm not responsible for most of them, either!
