CLOSED: ID help please: Shovel-headed dead-leaf-looking flying bug

Metairie, LA

Hello! This is my first time on this forum.

I live in Southeast Louisiana and I found this insect this morning sitting on my Acalypha wilkesiana. I almost pulled it off as it looked like a dead leaf then I thought I saw eyes. I prodded it gently with a stick and saw legs! It didn't fly away through all this so I snapped some pictures. I don't think it's a moth due to the shovel head but I'm uncertain.

Any help would be appreciated!

Here are some more images:

I am going to mark this as solved - looks like I mistook the tail for the head - Doh!

This is a Mournful Sphinx Moth (Enyo lugubris).

Thanks!!!

It is a moth - do you have any more pictures besides this one? Just wondering...it might be possible to ID with this one.

It looks like a Mournful Sphinx Moth:

They rest during the day and will fly away towards dusk.
