Alameda County Master Gardeners Fall Seminar

I've already signed up. I just got an email saying there are still spaces available. Let me know if you're going and we can say hi.

Alameda County Master Gardeners 5th Annual Fall & Winter Gardening Seminar

On Saturday, October 20, the Alameda County Master Gardeners present their fifth annual fall and winter gardening seminar at Merritt College in Oakland. This seminar brings together nine experts and dedicated plant-people to speak on topics of special interest to Bay Area gardeners. Among the speakers are noted local authors and columnists, Pam Peirce and Katherine Grace Endicott. Seminar participants create their own individualized programs by selecting three 90-minute sessions from the nine that are offered. There is such great variety in the class offerings that novice and expert gardeners alike can find valuable information suited to their own level of experience. In conjunction with the seminar, Merritt College stages a plant sale to benefit its Landscape/Horticulture department.

Alameda County Master Gardeners are volunteers trained under the auspices of the University of California Cooperative Extension. Using UCCE research and protocols, they assist home and school gardeners throughout the county by identifying and recommending solutions for plant problems caused by disease, environmental conditions, insects and other garden pests.
