Compulsive?

This one is grown from seeds from Keyring won in a Being game. I fear for it's life- you can see what a small plant it is, but oh what a beautiful bloom. I'm still thinking of a name.

Wow! Beautiful Strep's SusanGA! Looks like whatever you are doing, you are doing it right because they are beautiful! I hope to get better at Strep's and try to find out what will make them happy in my house!

Love that little 'Rollalong Blue' AV too! it looks a lot like a Semi Mini AV that Gail gave me 5 or 6 months ago but I don't know if mine is a trailer, will have to ask Gail!

Thanks Lin,
I'm not real good at streps yet, I seem to get them to a certain size then they start with one leaf turning brown and before I know it the whole plant is gone. It has taken a lot of experimenting with light, water, fertilizer and potting soil and a lot of lost plants. There are lots of good suggestions on DG's.

Sounds like me Susan. I have just the two now and I'm hoping I can keep them going and not have them die on me.

Very pretty semi-mini Lin, I like the way it holds the blooms up.

I'm not sure what's with my camera lately. It's new but the same brand as my old digital ... just an updated version. All my pic's seem to come out darker than normal. I guess it's the settings ... I need to play around with it awhile. A couple of the leaves on my plant are variegated, here's a closer look. I know Gail gave me a couple of variegated semi mini's but I don't remember this one with the purple flower originally having any variegation to the foliage. I sure wish all the leaves were like this. And, I would love to know the name of it.

GrowHappy you have excellent taste in streps!! Welcome to the addiction!!

Susan those streps of yours are gorgeous! Practice makes perfect, and these plans are worth it!

Lin that's a nice mini violet with the variegated leaves. So pretty when they start to change like that. What is the plant to the left of the violet in the second picture with the big pretty leaves??

I tried to buy Salmon Sunset from Gail but it was already spoken for and now I know who beat me to it!! Too bad I already sent out our trade Kim or I might have had to short you one for that!! ROTFLOL!!!!

Hi Brenda! That plant to the left is Begonia 'Bonita Shea' that I got from Snowrose. Isn't she lovely? I just love this one. I had it out on my deck for awhile but decided to bring her in and put her under the lights. My favorite Begonia EVER!

Woo Hoo girls, it sounds like we can already start putting our Spring Trade lists together for these different strep leaves!! I'm writing down names and keeping them! LOL

I ordered the last of the Fantasy "Bristol Party" series that I didn't have or have coming. I found it on eBay and it is called Pajama Party it is a deep rose pink with white fantasy markings. Can't wait to get it and see it bloom!

Kim tracked down a couple of more Fantasy's at Lyon's but they are in very short supply right now. But next spring/summer I know where I'll be looking!! Never the same bloom twice, they get you with that description on these fantasy's don't they??

Lin that Begonia is awesome, the leaves remind me of an episcia but with a different texture to them. Your plant shelf picture is a beauty. Do I see Blue Moon chirita in the very back?? Mine is so close to blooming, I'm on pins and needles waiting!

Just wanted to check in..................got the crud from my sister in law on the trip..........so staying close to bed..........today..............glad to get to see everyone's pics...........Lin, you are getting really good with that camera................congrats............

Susan..............you are growing fine plants friend............congrats to you, too.........

Thanks Gail, I did put a few of the streps on wicks, so we'll see how that goes. They did immediately perk up and the leaves picked up nicely so I hope it works. My mix is 1-1-1, with a litle extra perlite - is that OK?

Hope you feel better soon.

whatever works for you is great.............we all live in different environments...............I don't use that much vermiculite but remember I live in 90+ % humidity..............

Hi! Not just yet. I'm hoping there is a box for me when I get home tonight! I was off work yesterday and was hoping it would come then, but no such luck. I know he(Ralph) sent it this week.

(Zone 1)

Oh, can't wait to see your new babies! I know you must be excited about getting that box in the mail!

Nottingham, MD(Zone 7a)

I got the box on Friday!!!! No pics yet, sorry(no internet at home right now). Only one of them was blooming(Ravishing Ruby), so there's nothing too spectacular to photograph. Would you still want to see foliage pics? LOL
