Curious to know what your personal schedules are like
I am fortunate to usually get to sleep until 7:30. Work starts at 9 and my DW gets the kids off to school. Work ends around 6 on a good day, 10 on a bad day. Lots of night meetings for me.
Come home, do basic chores, eat, help clean up. Read to my son on alternate nights Then I visit you folks (a little less often lately--see night meetings) The Daily Show & Cobert report usually end my day.
Weekends are mostly gardening, chores and family activities. Good point: evening hours are much less in the summer, leaving more time for gardening.
Get up - right foot on floor then left foot on floor.
Make coffee.
Check the computer.
Feed dogs then let dogs out.
Check the computer.
Take a shower get dressed etc.
Check the computer.
Then I do what I want, when I want and with whom I want.
Simply put - house work, ebay, PO, the store, cook supper and sometimes auctions. Don't forget check computer in between. Exciting Life.........
Pretty much the same as schickenlady.....get up
take dogs out
make coffee
feed dogs
check computer
feed cats,
check computer
web surf with my morning coffee........assorted housework between checking computer (puter, putter, puter, putter, etc)
Once, maybe twice a week I go to town for banking, groceries. Lots of gardening in the summer, in the winter..more computering.
Hubbys does all the cooking, I do the cleaning....unless he's working, then I cook.
Up around 6
Turn coffee on
Make bed
Sit at computer for three or four hours, getting more coffee (and vitamins) as needed
Out by 10 to garden
In by 7 at the latest unless I wear my auto head lamp!
Shower
Eat
Computer until bedtime
'Bye - it's almost 10 AM.
Please don't tell me you actually have an auto head lamp to work in the garden LOL LOL I am just getting a visual now hehehe.
Up and at work before Dave gets up. Come home and supervise kids with chores and homework. Make supper and try to do some outside work before dark. They entertain themselves pretty well so I only have to referee there.
Whatever the warden has on the schedule.
Thanks for the real visual pirl LOL
Now that is one serious gardener!!!
Still adjusting to retirement...usually up by around 5:30 and outside in the garden by 6. now that it's not light yet at 6, I either sort seeds or do some household chore until the sun comes up. I work outside for about 2 hours or until I run out of steam. Come in, get DH up and ready for the day (he's disabled and needs some help). Then we have breakfast and I crash in front of the computer. I have fibromyalgia, so I need a good long rest period by that time. I catch up e-mail, hang out at DG, play a game, or just surf.
By this time it's lunch, then depending on what kind of day I'm having, either a nap or some kind of project (or just housework).
This winter I'm planning on substituting quilting for gardening in the early morning.
Fun thread!
Up around 5:45 (unless it's high school hockey season - then I'm up at 4AM to bring the kids to practice)
Get the kids off to school, including driving one there - drive both there if they have morning practice - two different schools.
Go to one of three jobs; if I don't have to work, I work in the yard, usually in my market garden.
Go to second of three jobs and pick up daughter from school - not necessarily in that order, depending on day.
Get home around 9PM if I work evenings. Other nights I'm usually at the rink for hockey practice for my kid's other (non-school, longer-season) hockey teams.
Try to squeeze in chores and also do errands on the way back and forth to jobs/school/practice. Attempt to cook dinner, but hope I don't have to!
Saturday mornings - summer - I sell at market; the rest of the year I work every other Saturday at one job.
Sunday, I try to get in some time in my garden in between hockey games and other social engagements (my kids', not mine, lol! I have no social life!)
Try to be in bed by 11:30PM most nights. Sleep late (7AM) on Sundays, although in the summer I often get up early to get outside.
Winters are a bit more laid back. I only work one job during the winter, but am busier with kids' stuff. (although one of my other jobs sometimes starts in Feb and runs through Dec.) I'm hoping to schedule time this winter to learn how to sew.
After reading all these schedules, I am really glad I never had kids LOL
And I wish I hadn't.
You should have just had older kids I think.
Yes - give birth to 18 year olds.
I don't know...Hubby came with a 22 year old daughter...in another city....and she is still a pain.....
**stepping away from that one**
I've been eying a 22 year old for adoption.
LOL don't blame ya!!
meant that for Al...thought I'd clarify...hehe
What is Woody Allen up to nowadays?

Go for run with owners of the leashes and collars
Come home and jump in shower

Off at 9PM. I hate being at work past 4. I usually stay up close to 11.
Well they're always magical and I lose a slipper...........At least I know you're awake Schick :~)
Thanks, Venu. That was a funny one.
LOL, Venu. I guess your social life is better than mine.
For those who want to have older kids, I will consider putting my sixteen-year-old up for adoption, or at least on loan for the next, oh, six or so years. She is a senior in high school and will be 17 in November, and whoever adopts her can have the pleasure of getting her into and through college (which she only wants to attend so she can play hockey - she doesn't seem to understand that she can't major in hockey!) You can also see her through driving lessons and get her a car, which may be a priority for you if these 4:30 AM practices continue - that way you can sleep in while she drives herself.
I'll take her back off your hands after college - no wait. I'll take her back after college and her first full year of gainful employment.
I've also got a 14-year-old son if anyone prefers a boy....
Yeah, Al. Don't promise Victor it will all be easier once he has teens! (Or are you trying to con him into a swap?)
Venu's social life is better than mine too. I wondered about that adoption at the teen years. It would be "Hi, I am born, I am a teen, now cough up the bucks" Yikes! lol
Up around 6:30-7....
walk Lilly, feed turtles...
get the camera and take pics...
breakfast, get ready for work....
wait with Alec for the bus...
take mom to ESL classes and get Philip so we go to work until 5...
get home... don't even go inside the house... water plants.... garden until reallllllly dark...
another shower.... eat.... feed dogs... check DJ... sleep while on DG!!!!! LOL!
Official night owl here...
I get home from work at 740am...roam around the yard, pick a weed or 10.
Bring the bitches in, affectionate term for my two pups...don't get any hackles raised...
Usually read my emails, water if I need to, read any new DG threads, add 2cents if I must...
My guilty pleasure...play World of Warcraft for a few...hours...
Head to bed, around 1pmish, get up at 7pmish for dinner with Paul...
TV, emails, walk around the yard, take the bitches out...
Get ready for work at 11pmish...
Rinse, Shampoo, and Repeat...
