Not about MG but I'd like your input.

I'm building a new computer, specifically for graphics and video. For the computer buffs:

Corsair (4 x 1GB Memory)
Corsair Power Supply
Intel core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz CPU
Zalman 2 Ball CPU Cooler
MSI Platinum ATX Intel MB
2-HD 250GB - SATA
Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard (back lit! for working in the dark)
Sapphire Radeon Video Card
4 port USB 2.0.5 Card
Silver Super Flower Aluminum Case

The case is silver and the computer needs a name. The computer I have now has a black case and I named it the Black_Mamba.

So I need a name with Silver in it. Silver Streak and Silver Surfer are already taken. Any ideas?

o/t - while looking for musical themes on http://www.mythinglinks.org/ct~music.html , I came across this:

"...An ancient bone flute segment, estimated at about 43,000 up to 82,000 years old, was found recently at a Neanderthal campsite by Dr. Ivan Turk, a paleontologist at the Slovenian Academy of Sciences in Ljubljana. It's the first flute ever to be associated with Neanderthals and its confirmed age makes it the oldest known musical instrument..."

I know someone here who loves folk music, so thought this site might be of interest

There are some beautiful old legends from Japan about the fox as trickster - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitsune

The best scan I can find of the gathering of fox tricksters on New Year's Eve - http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Hiroshige-100-views-of-edo-fox-fires.jpg

This woodcut is #118 from Ando Hiroshige's series, "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" - http://www.hiroshige.org.uk/hiroshige/100_views_edo/100_views_edo.htm - wonderful website looking through woodcuts of Ando Hiroshige (1797 - 1858) into Edo Japan just before westernization brought it to an end.

That looks like it is going to be a big computer. Is the case bigger than normal??

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Its a tower .. 16.5 inches high 8 inches deep and 19 inches long.

(Linda) Winfield, KS(Zone 6a)

That's what mine measures but your just looked bigger.

Summerville, SC(Zone 8a)

Probably because its rather empty .. no cards or wires.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

Well the Silver Fox is now Black Ice. The silver case did not work out and I had to get a different one. The one that would work only came in black. It's still an aluminum case but the black finish looks like wet paint. It's really stunning.

I finally got the new case on Tuesday and started again. Here's the link if you'l like to see my progress.
