Very nice Connie, lucky you!!!!
Greenhouse has finally arrived :o)
wow connie and dh.. you must be very excited. and him also to be almost done huh. Ronna
I just love it Connie!
Say, can your husband come over and teach my husband how to be handy? He'll be retired and available for lessons in about six more weeks. :)
Brenda
Thanks :o)
Brenda, my dh retired 2 years ago this past Oct, and to be truthful, I hate it to one point and love it to another.
I hate living on a budget. I miss the over time
I can't stand having him home 24/7. I can't get anything done around the house. He is always under foot and never needs my help until I am in the middle of doing something. go figure lol He doesn't help around the house at all, just creates bigger messes for me to clean...
He doesn't like to travel and now with the gas prices its worse :(
I really miss my alone time. I went out to the greenhouse the other night, just to be alone for a bit and next thing I knew, there he was...
He isn't as active as he use to be. We were constantly on the go when he came home from work, but now, he has slowed way way down, and just wants to stay around the house and do nothing. Until he feels like it.
And did I mention, I really really hate living on a budget lol.
Really the only good thing about him being retired is, He doesn't have to get up early and punch a time clock. And if we want, we can go and not have to worry about being back because he has to get up and go to work.
I hope you find retirement enjoyable. Ken put in 35 years and 3 months, and altho it sounds like I am not thankful that he is home now, I am. He has worked hard all his life, and there are so many that don't get to enjoy their retirement. I do like having him here, I just wish he would find something to do with his time :o) Besides driving me crazy lol.
Connie
It sounds like he just wants to be with you. If he's going to be there, put him to work! LOL Give him some pots to scrub or some flats to fill. Find some teeny tiny seed he has to plant with tweezers. *evil grin* Maybe he'll run off and give you some "me" time. Then again, you may both find that he has an affection for some certain plant that he can reproduce till the cows come home. ;)
roflmbo - if only ;-)
chele trust me, I have tried everything,
But he is getting more interested in seeing all the different flowers I have had growing this year. He really couldn't get over the really tall marigolds I had out in the big bed. They were taller than him... I am going to try and get him to help me with my WSing... He may run for his life roflol
