CLOSED: Eastern Pondhawk Dragonfly?

Springfied , IL(Zone 5b)

The dragonflies are lovin' all this rain - lost of nats and mosquitoes. I'm not sure who this is?
Any other ideas?

Not sure gopita, can you get another picture?

Thanks fly_girl. I'll try. I guess I'll have to go back to using lenses. These bugs are too fast and my digital camera doesn't cut it.

I know, they are tough to get a good picture of, but some are hard to id even with a good picture, so good luck!

I think this is a male pondhawk because the body is not green...maybe.
So I have no idea who my first guy is.

They are fun to watch! The blues are plentiful, but I can't get them to hold still for my picture ;)

The male Eastern Pondhawks are usually blue, is that one blue? It looks brownish but it could be the lighting. That one almost looks like a Stream Cruiser, except I can't see the yellow stripe on its thorax.

They are very fun to watch! If you sit out where they are flying they get used to you and that's when you can get some good shots. But, you have to brave the mosquitoes! LOL

I think my first guy is a Wandering Glider.
