I live in Shanghai, China and I found this little monster this morning while walking my dog. Actually my dog found it and was stung on the foot. The sting caused him a lot of pain and he was swollen and unhappy for about two hours. Any ideas on what this is? Thanks so much!
It kind of looks like Automeris io (Io moth), maybe the Chinese version... It would make sense if it were the same genus; those suckers will sting the crap out of you!
