Fall Plant Sale!! UC Berkeley Botanical Garden
You still have time--the sale is tomorrow :-)
I'm going, but JUST to see the gardens!!
I hope you can make it, spidra. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the Garden Fair last weekend - I'd like to meet you. If you do make it, come down to the Cacti & Succulents section and ask for me. I'll be there from about 8am to 3pm.
Liz - Are you going to make it?
ima - If you come tomorrow, you won't be able to miss the sale. It's laid out all down the road to the Tropical House and around the Conference Center. At least come and say Hi!
Marilyn
I'm not sure yet if I'm going--I would love to of course, but I've had a nasty migraine for the last several days so I'll have to see how I feel tomorrow morning. If I do make it I'll definitely stop by and say hi!
I was kidding....like I could pass up a plant sale? That would be like driving right by an open nursery!!!!
I'll DEFINITELY be looking at succulents, so I'll stop by---it will be 2ish before I can get there though, as DH is teaching motorcycle safety tomorrow AM, and I'm dragging him along. His prize will be a stop at Ikea.
Assuming we get there before 3:00, I'll ask for you at C&S; it would be nice to meet someone from DG in person! I can't do the roundup---too much going on in October.
ecrane, have you tried dark chocolate for your migraine?
I eat dark chocolate (in small quantities) fairly regularly and it doesn't make a difference for me. This one is a combination of a headache caused by stuffed up sinuses, and a migraine caused by not getting enough sleep (one of the side effects of the medicine I'm taking to get rid of the stuffed up sinuses is that it makes it hard for me to fall asleep at night) I just can't win!
Hope you feel better soon!
So sorry to hear you're under the weather, Liz. I used to have migraines and have had 2 sinus headaches so I do know how much pain you're in. Hope it lets up soon, and I'll see you tomorrow.
ima - Great! I hope to see you tomorrow too! Remember, the plant sale does end at 3pm but the Garden's open until 5pm. I'll probably be there until at least 3:30 or so.
Yep. Hope you feel better. Migraines are the pits.
Marilyn, did you see the pictures from the event?

No, I didn't. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to see them. I saw several people I know, and many others who were familiar. Hope we have it again next year!
Marilyn, it was a treat to meet you today! Thanks for the hand-holding on the plant choices, and the great advice about the %*(_+#($)_!Q+ mealybugs!
Janet
You're very welcome. It was wonderful to meet you and Bill too! Hope to see you again sometime soon, even though we're quite a ways apart. If you get up this way, give me a holler and we'll have lunch. I'll do the same if I'm down your way.
Marilyn
