Anne....I can take more cuttings of the Maya...she'll be cut down when frost threatens anyway which will probably be sometime soon I figure. I'll put you down!

College Station, TX(Zone 8b)

k, my Dr. S is blooming, and peach and pink are each budding. So I'm being very careful about cutting. But the one that I'm pretty sure is the versicolor peach hasn't done anything but grow (like that's a bad thing) I'm guessing can be cut. I've never had brugs before this year. Should I cut them back? And how far??

This is the first year I have kept my brugs in the ground, so I am not sure about the cutting back other than I know people usually do it before frost to root the cuttings. Once cold hits, they turn to mush. I will mulch them real well and hope they make it through the winter. When I cut they will be cut all the way down.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

My big Dr. Seuss made it just fine last winter - and it was particularly cold in Houston. It didn't look great, but came back fine. I've been taking cuttings that I hope will "take" as it had to be cut down due to a remodeling/expansion at our house.
I know you are quite a bit colder in Bryan/CS, though.

Perhaps so. I just hate to cut anything. It's perhaps why my hibs look so rangy sometimes. lol They're so pretty I'm afraid that I'll hurt them.

Smockette....who were you needing to talk to?

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Good news, bad news. The good news is I get to see my Florida daughter tomorrow. The bad news is I am meeting her half way and can't come to the RU.

Anyone wanting anything on my trade list is welcome to initiate an exchange by mail.

So sorry to be missing the RU.

Haven't seen daughter in 8 months.

She has to come to Baton Rouge which is too close to pass up the opportunity to see her.
