here it is last night i was so thrilled. it took like years for it to bloom .


i thought i had missed it agian due to rain but its here.

this plant takes a while too bloom. every year i take it into the heated greenhouse.

it was well worth the wait though.

A. it opened at night. it was fully dark when i took it. i had to aim the camera with the flash on to get it. the digi cam was actually black till the flash hit it. trying to get the shot was hard.

it gets dark here about 8 so i went out about 8 30. it could of opened earlier but was raining.

i was yelling for hubby to get the digi cam. hehe he thought i had lost it. hehe

A trick I used to take night shots when I had a camera that didn't have infrared for focus was to use a flashlight on what I wanted to shoot so the camera would have enough light to focus by. Just push the button half way down and when the focus is right, point the flashlight away and shoot..
