Does anyone know if these can be propagated from cuttings? Or, does someone have some "spare" bulbs---I know they're not hardy in my zone (will overwinter) but I WANT some of these really, really bad...color doesn't matter altho, I think the yellow, "Sweet Laura?", suppossedly is hardy in my zone...
Thank you...Jan
Peruvian Lilies (Alstroemeria)...
I grow Sweet Laura, but it will be 6 months before I can verify the hardiness. It grew beautifully for me this summer. I planted it near the house so it is likely to stay warmer and I planted it in the early spring.
Thank you for your reply!
I've read that they can be invasive. I wonder if that's true this far north. Does anyone know if they do well in pots? I like the Sweet Laura too---does it really have a good fragrance?
I am most worried about them wintering over ;), up here they don't go hog wild ;) In the south, I have heard similar concerns.
