I ordered some Iris from Cooley's. They arrived and unfortunately I'm not ready to plant them in their permanent location and probably won't be for about 3 to 4 months. I know this will sound like a crazy question and I think that is why Cooley's didn't bother to answer my e-mail. . . .I want to be sure that I don't hurt the Iris plants by transplanting a second time so soon after planting them in temporary containers. I was thinking of planting them in nursery containers just to get them in the ground and then when I'm ready, transplant them to their permanent location.
Does anyone have any idea if a transplant so soon after planting them in nursery cans would hurt them?

Bare root Iris
Put them in containers, plant out later. No problem.

Hi Sherry,
I've been away and just saw your reply about the Iris question I had. Thanks a million.
