can you grow Ipomoea Purga from a dried tuber?

I was just sitting here doing some research on this and cannot find a single article about growing them from tubers. Anyone know? Ron?
I have some tubers and am tempted to plant one and see .
anyone has any info let me in on it.

I tried it, and my dried tuber turned into a slimy, decomposing stink ball. I had no info on how old the root was or how it had been dried. This is one of the most desireable species for us to grow since there is such little information available. Be sure to let us all know if you have any success!

I am pretty sure I will have the same results as you . I dont know anything about this root either . For all I know it could even be anything. I bought it as high John root .
