this is albievenia it is 2 years old and it has a huge tuber under ground and its a night bloomer. once it starts to get hot in the morning its gone.
the ants have been all over this morning glory but havent hurt it any.
any way here is the bloom at night
it bloomed finally yea (albievenia)
Congrats!!!! Mine is still a baby and it took all summer for it to germinate.
I really like the flower on this one, it reminds me of a poppy flower.
mine may not be this plant, the leaves on mine are not shiny. I'll try to take a photo of it this week some time.
A.
Marie - Kewl...Can we see a sideview to see how long the tube is(?)...
Does the flower have a fragrance as strong as the Ipomoea alba(?)...is the fragrance similar or different(?)...
Inquiring minds definitely want to know...
TTY,...
Ron
Ron the flower faded really quick due to the rain we had that night and still having agian.
the fragrence on this one was different from alba. the fragrence on alba is kinda like sweet and this one is like strong. not out there strong but its strong if you get close to it. it smelled like a lemon type smell but mixed with something else.
the flower wasnt long like the alba is. the pics i did take werent showing the tube. the leaf was in the way. hopefully before winter sets in it will bloom agian.
