WE GOT RAIN !!!!!

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

It finally happened. We got a nice showering last night but not much to speak of today.
I don't know how measureable it was, but it was VERY welcome !

Anyone else in So. Cal. have any good news to report? LOL

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Ain't it grand?! I drove in tonight from central California and it was wonderful coming down the Grapevine and seeing clouds on the hills and mountains and everything so clear and clean..it can still be beautiful here at times. Treacherous coming over the top of the Vine..raining quite hard up there. Spotty rain up and down the San Joaquin and DH says it didn't rain much here at all. Not the 'drenching' we were expecting and that my trees were looking forward to....but it's a good start, huh?

It rained a bit up here too, some on Thurs and then some more overnight and this morning. Probably about a 1/2 inch at most, but my garden still appreciated it!

Ramona, CA(Zone 9b)

Yep we got some good news too JD! A whopping 0.08 (yes I do mean eight hundreths) of an inch. Is it my imagination or do plants seem to respond better to just a little rainfall vs. sprinkler water? Everything looks so happy. lol

Venice, CA(Zone 10a)

Hey Guys;We got a Big Show here! Thunder,Lightening and Rain.It rained again Saturday morning and then turned to bright sun and incredible views.

Fallbrook, CA(Zone 10b)

Well, it's Venice...you know...of course you'd get the big show there! I'd expect no less.

Spent a couple of hours Thursday spreading weed suppressant and all we got was a little spit Friday morning. Hope it was enough to activate the stuff!

Gilroy (Sunset Z14), CA(Zone 9a)

Rained most of the day here yesterday---and I agree that no matter how much I water with the hose, the soil and plants are always MUCH happier when Ma Nature does the watering.

Today it's sunny and muggy, but the soil is nice and soft, so I started getting some stuff in the ground that's been "acclamating" for a few weeks (translation:"Couldn't pass it up; no clue where I'm going to plant it; no time to plant it even if I had the perfect spot picked out!!"
